Patlian Lake-Lowat Valley
Patlian Lake located at #Lowat_Valley; the elevation of about 13960ft; The Lake is fed by the surrounding mountains glacial waters. The lake is accessible from Upper Neelum village through Lowat Bala road of Neelum Valley, by a jeep able track; from Upper Neelum Village/Keran Valley it is almost 21kms jeep drive took 4 hours to reach at Patlian base camp; and 25 minutes hike to reaches at Lake.
Lawat valley tourist spot is a very beautiful and captivating place for tourism. This valley has Patlian lake, Kanali waterfall, Nairean/Neriaan waterfalls, meadows which are still hidden from the eyes of the tourists. A mesmerizing place to add in your summer plan trip, breathtaking meadows, lush green forests, amazing landscape, tranquilizing beauty, towing mountains, water stream, waterfall and view of seasonal houses give an amazing look beauty beyond the imaginations.
In summer, you get a clearer view of the valley in all its lushness and serenity. That, however, makes this place a hidden gem just waiting to be explored and if you are the kind who loves to explore the unexplored.
Lawat valley is one of the best tourist spot in Neelum valley, valley near bank of Neelum River can only be approached from Muzaffarabad side and it is situated in Neelum valley Azad Kashmir Pakistan. All the basic necessities of life are available. The valley has few hotels for accommodating visitors and tourists.
Kanali Waterfall:
A hidden Kanali waterfall is a piece of heaven for nature lovers. Enjoy and see the nature wonder can be approached from lawat valley, 1 hour hike from killuan village to take you to the Kanali waterfall. It is one of the biggest waterfalls and surprisingly 3 waterfalls parallel. From here leads up to one more waterfall still hidden near Kanali Sar peak. Outstanding view and meadows of near Kanali waterfall only can access from lawat valley on jeep then hike the waterfall is an incredible pearl of nature, little explored and still hidden from many tourist eyes.
Patlian Lake is a magnificent lake with all its splendid views. This lake remains open to show its resplendent views to tourists from End May to late August or starting off September.
It remains closed for tourists in other months due to blocking of roads and heavy snowfall. So the best time to visit Patlian Lake would be June to August as most of its snow would go vanish and you could be able to admire all its exquisite views.
Necessary items for Patlian Lake trek
In presence of all these facilities don’t forget to bring hiking necessities along with you, like trekking shoes, minimum of two pairs of socks, a raincoat, a water bottle, sunglasses, sun-blocking cream, a hot jacket, or a shawl, and necessary medicines.
Some tourists feel headaches and difficulties to breathe due to its elevation so keep your necessary items with you.
